The British Columbia Gaming Commission (BCLC) seeks a new head honcho! After the departure of Jim Lightbody, their previous President and CEO, in December 2021, the quest for a permanent successor is underway.

Linda Cavanaugh, as the temporary CEO, has maintained seamless operations, but BCLC is keen on securing a long-term leader. They’ve enlisted Leaders International, a premier Canadian recruitment agency, to assist in identifying the ideal candidate.

What are their specific requirements? BCLC desires a cooperative and forward-thinking leader capable of fostering a culture of creativity and knowledge acquisition within the company. They require an individual unafraid of transformation who can steer BCLC towards its overarching objectives.

The perfect candidate will possess true foresight, adept at formulating and implementing strategies that harmonize with BCLC’s principles. Naturally, they must also be financially astute, boosting income for British Columbia while prioritizing the well-being of their clientele.

Thrilled to uncover a fresh leader capable of expanding upon our achievements and propelling creativity for our participants and neighborhoods,” shared Greg Moore, Head of BCLC’s Board of Directors. “We desire an imaginative leader aligned with our principles and enthusiastic about generating positive change. The perfect applicant will collaborate closely with our Board and executive group to cultivate an empowering and welcoming atmosphere for our staff and the sector.”

The quest for a new CEO commences March 17, 2022.
