Aristocrat Leisure has selected Bill Lance to become a non-executive member of its board, subject to regulatory green light.

Lance is a highly esteemed individual, having held the position of Secretary of Commerce for the Chickasaw Nation, a prominent Native American tribe located in Oklahoma, for the longest period in its history. During his tenure, he supervised a varied collection of enterprises, encompassing casinos, hospitality, retail, and media, with a workforce exceeding 7,000.

Despite stepping down as Secretary of Commerce, Lance remains a valued counselor to the Chickasaw Nation, holding the distinguished title of Ambassador. He continues to advocate for the Nation’s interests on numerous boards and committees, particularly those centered around gaming and economic advancement. Notably, he holds appointments with the American Gaming Association and the Greater Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce.

Lance’s expertise transcends tribal administration. He currently sits on the board of the Chickasaw Nation Foundation and the publicly traded company BancFirst, listed on the NASDAQ stock exchange. His previous engagements include serving on the University of Oklahoma Foundation board and providing guidance to the Oklahoma Department of Commerce.

Aristocrat Leisure’s Chairman, Neil Chatfield, conveyed his excitement about Lance joining the board, emphasizing his vast leadership background as a significant benefit to the company.
