The United Kingdom’s National Lottery operator, Camelot, has restored its iOS application. The app, non-functional for nearly a month, is now fully operational, and the company has informed users of the change.
In a message to Android users labeled “Important Player Announcement,” the lottery provider also stated that its Android application is in its final testing stage and “will be released shortly.”
Camelot removed both its iOS and Android mobile applications in October after numerous users reported that manual entry and QR code ticket-verification features were incorrectly indicating winning tickets as losing ones.
The company received extensive criticism in British media for seemingly disregarding customer feedback regarding its faulty app. Nevertheless, Camelot’s executives and management have publicly emphasized their significant investment in enhancing the company’s mobile and digital platforms, stating that the updated apps have undergone “independent review to guarantee increased robustness.”
