AstroPay, a provider of digital payment solutions, has broadened its services in Brazil by incorporating Pix, the nation’s highly favored immediate payment platform. Following its introduction in 2020, Pix has rapidly emerged as the go-to payment choice for Brazilians, representing a substantial portion of transactions.
Acknowledging its significance, AstroPay now enables customers to make payments with Pix via two methods: directly on their system using a Pix identifier, or through an optimized checkout procedure on the websites of participating vendors. This incorporation removes the necessity for users to leave the merchant’s website, resulting in a quicker and more user-friendly encounter. Preliminary information suggests that this simplified checkout flow has resulted in a perceptible rise in sales transformations for merchants.
Mikael Lijtenstein, the head of AstroPay, stressed the company’s dedication to delivering users and enterprises with the optimal payment encounter. He emphasized that the inclusion of Pix caters to the shifting inclinations of Brazilian shoppers and strengthens AstroPay’s standing as a frontrunner in the region’s vibrant digital payments sector.
AstroPay, a financial technology company, harbors significant aspirations to broaden its footprint across Latin America. With existing operations in Brazil, where their objective is to onboard 200 vendors and acquire 150,000 clients, AstroPay recently inaugurated services in Peru, Chile, Mexico, and Colombia. This strategic growth centers on furnishing small and mid-sized enterprises with novel and groundbreaking payment solutions.
